The MND Group is a global leader in preventive avalanche triggering systems. To mark the launch of a new product that rounds out its Safety line, MND wanted a film that would generate excitement around this release, conveying the group’s Safety DNA while showcasing the new product. The goal: to immerse the viewer in the reality of a profession rarely filmed from the inside, that of the teams who secure the mountains even before the skiers arrive.

AT THE HEART OF THE SYSTEM

We created a film that juxtaposes avalanche patrol members at work under the real-life conditions of a preventive avalanche release with a day of skiing among friends, when the mountains are a place of enjoyment: an immersive shoot that captures the action up close during avalanche releases, combined with meticulous post-production to synchronize the rhythm of the avalanches with the tempo of the new product’s design.

Extensive pre-production work is required to be ready as soon as the right weather window opens up. The conditions, which can sometimes be challenging, involve capturing the day-to-day work of securing trails, well before a ski area or road opens.
